The Amity College Girls High School Year 9 & 10 Volleyball Team made an unforgettable mark at the NSW Volleyball Term 1 School Cup on Tuesday, April 1st—just days after the Eid break. With skill, unity, and sheer determination, the team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, charging into the finals with confidence and momentum.
Their road to the final was a showcase of grit and teamwork, with every serve, spike, and save reflecting the hours of hard work they’d put in. Each match built on the last, and as the stakes grew higher, so did their performance.
The final match proved to be a nail-biter. The first set ended in a heartbreaking golden point loss—by just a single point. The second set was equally intense, with the team narrowly missing victory by two points. Although they fell just short of gold, the girls secured second place out of 12 competing schools across the state—a truly commendable achievement.
Their silver medal finish is more than just a place on the podium—it's a testament to their resilience, passion, and powerful team spirit. What’s more inspiring is their mindset after the match: no regrets, just motivation. The team is already looking ahead to future School Cup tournaments, driven by the goal of turning silver into gold.
A huge congratulations to the players who gave it their all on the court:
