How many Students do we have?

We have approximately 1900 students at Amity College. Amity College is comprised of 3 campuses based in NSW. Prestons, our main campus, includes a Primary, Girls High School, and Boys High School, Illawarra includes a Primary and High School, and our Auburn campus is Primary.

What are the College’s hours?

• Amity College hours are 8.55am – 3.25pm, this is for all students.
• Amity College office hours are 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.

What are the College’s Transport arrangements?

• The college operates Private Buses for parents who request direct transport for their child between home and the school, at an additional fee. These buses are subject to availability.
• There are direct public bus routes linking most suburbs from Wollongong and Shellharbour directly to the College. Students will need to register for an Opal Card with NSW Transport.

Is the College Co-Education?

Amity College Auburn Campus is Co-Education.

Amity College Illawarra Primary and High School is Co-Education.

Amity College Prestons Primary is Co-Education, however Prestons High School is divided into a Boys and Girls High School.

How do I enrol my child?

Please call the campus to organise an interview. You must fill in an application form and pay an application fee. Your child must also sit for an entrance exam. Further details about the enrolment process can be found on our website.

Do you offer the same curriculum as other schools?

Yes. The curriculum taught at the College is that which is set out by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

What are your class sizes?

Our quota for each Kindergarten class is 20. Year 1 to Year 6 have a maximum class size of 26. Our High School classes also have a maximum quota of 26 students.

Do you have Pastoral Care programs?

The College runs an extensive Pastoral Care Program, each program designed to instil values and manners that are important to the College. These programs ensure a positive learning environment for your child after school hours and also during the school holiday periods.

How do communicate with parents?

Communication with parents is through online newsletters, email, phone calls, text messages, and notes home. We place great emphasis in communicating with our parents.

Do you have counselling services for the students?

Yes, Counselling Services are available for our students at all 3 campuses.

Do you have a Canteen?

Yes, we have a canteen. Our canteen prides itself on providing healthy lunches that are high in nutrients. All products are Halal. We have weekly specials that are communicated to parents through text message.

Do you have a School Uniform Shop?

Yes. The Light Bookstore in Auburn sells all our uniform and textbooks. There is also a uniform shop at our Prestons campus.
